Leeds United confirmed on Instagram that, upon the expiry of his contract, Adam Forshaw has left Elland Road.
The 31-year-old was part of the Marcelo Bielsa side that earned promotion to the Premier League, although, he only played seven games because of injury during that campaign.
That was one part of the story during Forshaw’s journey in Yorkshire because, despite only playing seven games in two years, he still managed to play over 30 Premier League games after that.
That is some achievement for the player and a credit to his character, especially to play alongside and against the best of the best.
One of them included Kalvin Phillips, who after hearing the news about Forshaw’s exit, wrote the following message via his IG story.
“What a legend,” wrote Phillips on his IG story. “All the best, Adam Forshaw.”
Forshaw a popular guy at Leeds
Just going by the reaction to Forshaw’s exit, you can see and tell that he was a popular member of the Leeds family – Pontus Jansson recently came out and reacted to his exit also.
It was suggested by Leeds Live that he was offered the chance to be part of the club’s pre-season plans, in the possibility that he might be handed a new deal.
But whilst Daniel Farke and Co. prepare to help the club earn promotion, Forshaw will start a new chapter in his career, it’s just a case of where.
