Patrick Bamford, Mateusz Klich and Luke Ayling are among the players to send Jack Harrison a message after his exit from Leeds United.
Harrison posted a message of gratitude to Whites supporters on Instagram in the wake of his move to Everton earlier this week, in which he insisted he would always ‘keep an eye on the results’.
The 26-year-old had spent five years at Leeds up until sealing his season-long-loan switch to the Toffees, making over 200 appearances during his time at Elland Road.
In total, he scored 34 goals and provided 32 assists, going from strength-to-strength since first arriving from Manchester City on loan, all be it with a few inconsistencies along the way.
Harrison was part of the promotion winning squad under Marcelo Bielsa in 2020 and also scored the winning goal that kept Leeds in the Premier League just over a year ago.
Bamford, Klich and Ayling react to Harrison’s Leeds exit
However, he became the latest of a long list of Leeds exits since relegation back in May, the seventh of which to depart on loan.
Harrison is arguably the one Leeds fans would most like to see thrive at his new club, and Bamford, Klich and Ayling have all sent messages of well-wishes in response to his Instagram post.
Harrison, Bamford, Ayling and Klich had all been teammates at Elland Road since 2018, with each of the quartet huge parts of the success under Bielsa.
While Ayling and Klich were at the club slightly before Bielsa’s arrival, Bamford and Harrison both joined in the same summer as the Argentine.
Given how bleak things are looking at the club right now, it is hard for Leeds supporters not to keep reminiscing over those times.
