Mohammed Kudus signs West Ham United contract with transfer announcement imminent – David Ornstein
Mohammed Kudus has “put pen to paper” to sign his West Ham contract with the official announcement now expected, according to David Ornstein.
The Athletic journalist reported via Twitter Sunday afternoon (27 August) that the Ajax star has a deal for five years sealed at the London Stadium, with the option for a sixth.
The 23-year-old attacker has cost the club €41.5million with €3million more in add-ons [£35.6m plus £2.57m], with a 10% sell-on clause included, with the announcement due by Monday at the latest.

Kudus arrives at West Ham this summer on top of former Ajax teammate Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse from Southampton, and ex-Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.
Success
Credit is now due to the Irons hierarchy as they have somehow turned what looked like a complete mess just a few weeks ago into an exciting end to the transfer window on top of a strong start to the season.
The Kudus deal could be the signing of the summer, and the fact that he has been secured ahead of various Premier League rivals, including Brighton and Chelsea, is even more of a positive.
He will need to translate the quality he has shown with the Eredivisie giants into more of the same in an Irons shirt, but if he can do that he has the potential to be a star in East London, with the club already top of the league overnight.
It isn’t ideal for players to come in so late in the day, once the campaign is already up and running, but after a reasonable first-day draw at Bournemouth the Hammers have responded with back-to-back 3-1 wins against big-spending Chelsea and everyone’s new favourite Brighton.
The new signings have so far slotted in pretty seamlessly, while the old favourites such as Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen are already on form.
It appears that David Moyes and Tim Steidten have settled their differences as well, so things are all looking up currently.
Who knows how long it will last but West Ham fans can certainly enjoy the situation currently, and the Kudus arrival on top will go down very well.
