Ettifaq of the Saudi Pro League have reportedly agreed on personal terms with Everton winger Demarai Gray ahead of a summer move.
Gray was reportedly close to signing Al-Shabab a few weeks ago, but the club instead chose Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco.
According to Asharq Al-Awsat, this allowed Ettifaq to swoop in and complete the signing of the Jamaican winger after agreeing a $6 million deal with Everton.
Gray had previously undergone a successful medical in London before flying to Saudi Arabia to join Ettifaq in the next 48 hours, according to the article.
Gray will make $6 million each season with Ettifaq, according to the Saudi daily, and his contract will last three to four seasons.
Ettifaq, who are coached by Steven Gerrard, have already signed four high-profile signings this summer: Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Jack Hendry, and Moussa Dembélé.
Gray, 27, has missed Everton’s first four Premier League games this season due to injury and has attracted interest from a number of European and Gulf clubs.
Gray had impressed with Jamaica throughout the summer, leading them to the Gold Cup final before losing to eventual winners Mexico.
Demarai Gray, a graduate of the Birmingham academy, has played for Leicester City and Bayer Leverkusen before joining Everton in 2021. He was a member of the Leicester City team that won the Premier League in 2016.
