Four Everton players have been included in the North West Football Awards for the 2022/23 season.

Men’s Senior Team goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Season for the second successive year following another outstanding campaign. The England international made 124 saves in the Premier League in total (third highest) and regularly captained the Toffees in the absence of teammate Seamus Coleman.

 

Nathalie Björn is nominated for the Women’s Player of the Season award following an impressive campaign that saw the Blues defender help secure seven clean sheets across all competitions. Björn also enjoyed success with Sweden this summer, securing bronze at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Winger Dwight McNeil is in the running for The Athletic Rising Star of the Season after an impressive debut campaign in blue. No Everton player managed to register more than McNeil’s 10 goal involvements (seven goals, three assists) over the course of last term.

Former Everton loanee Jess Park has also been shortlisted for The Athletic’s Women’s Rising Star of the Season. The 21-year-old notched five goals and five assists during her spell on Merseyside.

The Armstrong Projects NWFA pays tribute to and recognises those who achieved footballing excellence both on and off the field during the 2022/23 season.

The Gala Dinner takes place at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford on Monday 6 November where the winners will be announced.
