Tottenham transfer news: Lloris could now join Saudi club after deal collapses – sources

Hugo Lloris could leave Tottenham for Turkey or Saudi Arabia after the goalkeeper was frozen out at Spurs, sources have told Football Insider.

The 36-year-old saw a last-gasp move to boyhood club Nice collapse on transfer deadline day (1 September).

Lloris is now third-choice at Tottenham, behind new signing Gugliemo Vicario and stand-in Fraser Forster.

Despite starting in goal for France in all but one game on their way to the World Cup final in Qatar last year (2022), he has yet to win a game.

So far this season, he has yet to appear in any of Ange Postecoglou’s matchday teams.

Lloris’s options may potentially open up in Turkey and Saudi Arabia as their respective transfer windows close.

The transfer window in Turkey concludes on September 15, while the deadline in Saudi Arabia is later this week (7 September).

Lloris, a long-serving Spurs player, made 31 appearances in all competitions last season but was replaced in the second half due to a mix of injury concerns and poor form.
