Demarai Gray of Everton gives a two-word message to Alex Iwobi following his transfer to Fulham.
Demarai Gray texted Alex Iwobi a two-word message after he left Everton to join Premier League rivals Fulham.
According to the official Fulham website (2 September), the Nigeria international has signed a contract with the Cottagers until the summer of 2028.
Iwobi, who joined Everton in 2019 from Arsenal, will now reunite with his former manager Marco Silva in West London.
Iwobi took to social media to share a video with the remark, “All Good!”
Gray, a former Everton teammate, was among many who responded to the message, saying, “Very good!”
The loss of Iwobi is unfortunate for the Toffees, who may have benefited from the dynamic midfielder’s experience and versatility in the coming months.
Everton have struggled in recent seasons, and their poor form has carried into the new league season, with the club now sitting 18th in the Premier League table. That is because they have yet to win a game, having drawn once and lost three times.
Gray presents a different issue for Everton, with the winger appearing frozen out at the club as he attempts to leave.
Manager Sean Dyche has made it clear that this will not happen, therefore it will be intriguing to watch what happens to the player following the current international break.
Gray has yet to be named to an Everton squad this season, despite the club having played four times in the Premier League and once in the EFL Cup.
In other Everton news, according to David Ornstein, the Toffees have a strategy to reintegrate Gray barring an unexpected late change.
