Wolves send a strong message to Barcelona about Ruben Neves

The midfielder keeps on being linked to Barcelona

When asked about the future of midfielder Ruben Neves, Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui gave a strong message to Barcelona.

The Portugal international has been linked with a move to Camp Nou as a potential successor for Sergio Busquets.

Lopetegui is presently preparing for an FA Cup match against Liverpool this weekend and appears to be fed up with the incessant rumors.

“I understand your interest in the transfer window, but you must understand that our interest is solely in the match tomorrow,” he explained.

“I’ve said many times that Ruben Neves is a wonderful player. He is a Wolves player, and he will remain a Wolves player.

“You can ask me a hundred times, but our focus is on tomorrow’s FA Cup match.” It is a very big competition in England, and this match is our primary focus.”

Neves has publicly flirted with Barcelona, but the rumor mill believes there is some doubt regarding his arrival. Joan Laporta is rumored to be interested in the midfielder, but Xavi seemed to prefer Martin Zubimendi.
