Player passes physical to join the Wolves – Late deal nearing completion
Earlier on transfer deadline day, it was announced in France that Wolves and RC Strasbourg had reached an agreement for the transfer of Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.
Wolves had been hunting for a successor for Matheus Nunes and faced a dramatic few hours on Friday as they attempted to close deals.
They initially made an offer of €8 million, which was instantly rejected by the French club. Bellegarde skipped training because he was desperate to close the deal.
According to rumors in France, the Ligue 1 club sought around double what Wolves had given. Those fears were unfounded, as the French media swiftly reported that a deal had been struck between the two teams, with just the formalities remaining.
Nabil Djellit has now reported that all medical exams have been finished, and Bellegarde is poised to join the Wolves.
