Wolves now ‘working on’ way to get rid of 24-year-old who cost £7.6m

Wolves signed Bruno Jordo in 2019, but the move did not work out.

Jordo was signed from Lazio and arrived at the club as a very exciting prospect, with big expectations.

Old Gold paid £7.6 million to sign the midfielder, demonstrating their strong regard for him.
Despite this, a string of failed loans to Wolves-affiliated clubs left him out in the cold at Molineux.

Wolves look to be willing to confess their recruitment blunders and let Jordo go.

Wolves looking for Jordão exit strategies

Wolves had hoped to sell Jordão during the summer, however a move failed to transpire.

Now with most major windows closed, only a few options remain, but according to Express and Star, Wolves and the player are looking at option.

It is mentioned mutual termination, however this would leave Jordão unable to join a new club until January.

The report adds that the club are “working on a solution for him.”

We imagine this will mean a permanent departure transpires sooner than later for the Portuguese man.

Is selling the best option

It is a shame really for Jordao that it has worked out this way, before his move to Wolves, he had made three senior appearances for Lazio.

But since his move four years ago, he has made just five for Wolves, which combined with his appearances for his loan sides, means he has made 39 senior appearances in four years.

A case of wasted potential and one Wolves club chiefs will be disappointed about.

But it seems now that the best and only option, is to find him a way out of Molineux.

21-year-old Wolves player was open to joining club, but then decided on Molineux stay

SC Freiburg in Germany reportedly approached Wolves about a loan deal for Fabio Silva, but the striker elected to stay put.

During the summer transfer window, Silva was the subject of much speculation.

The teenager has previously played for Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven.
However, reports surfaced soon throwing doubt on Silva’s future at Wolves.

It was suggested that the club will consider any bids for him.

There were also comments made by Silva’s agent implying that he was seeking for a way out.

However, things changed and Silva ended up staying put.

Freiburg made enquiry over Wolves striker Fabio Silva

As per BILD, Freiburg did reach out to Wolves about a potential move for Silva.

They had felt there was potential for a deal to be done, because at the time Silva was being linked with an exit.

But the situation changed.

Wolves ultimately decided that they were not going to hear offers for Silva.

They wanted to keep hold of him, and Gary O’Neil was looking for him to play a big part this season.

Silva was initially open to the idea.

But seemingly he was happy to remain at Wolves because he’s received assurances about game time.

So far, he’s seen a good level of involvement for Wolves. He’s featured in all five of the club’s games, for a total of 306 minutes on the pitch.

Tough start for Silva, but keeping him was right move

After the season he had in 2023/24, it was the right decision to keep Silva.

The club invested a lot of money into him, and officials will be desperate for the move to work out.

Silva has had a bit of a tough start to the new season.

He’s missed some good chances, and against Crystal Palace on Saturday he was pretty ineffective.

But he’ll hopefully improve as the season goes on. He has the belief of the manager and the support of the fans. it may just be a matter of time before it clicks.
