Arnaut Danjuma has shown his solidarity with Amadou Onana.

During the international break, the Dutchman praised his Everton teammate in a recent Instagram post.


Onana joined the Belgian national team this week, looking to add to his six international caps. The Red Devils face Azerbaijan in their Euro 2024 qualifier today before hosting Estonia on Tuesday night.

The midfielder has been updating fans on Instagram with photographs of himself on international duty, with his most recent post showing off his training with his teammates – with the caption ‘Preparing in a good attitude’.

Danjuma responded to the post, penning a reply that said ‘Leyenda’, which translates to ‘Legend’.

Following his loan move from Villarreal this summer, the Dutchman has definitely become close to Onana.

Danjuma has frequently lauded his teammate on social media, labeling him ‘the finest’ during Everton’s 2-2 draw with Sheffield United.

Both started at Bramall Lane and were seen mimicking Danjuma’s ‘cobra’ celebration in unison after his equalizer.

The forward is still at Finch Farm during the international break because he is not in the Netherlands squad, but he will reunite with Onana when he returns to face Arsenal next weekend.

Sean Dyche’s side don’t have time to wait for players to settle in, so Danjuma can only benefit from developing a solid bond with his teammate.

The 26-year-old’s past Premier League experience undoubtedly benefits him, with Danjuma already looking like a good signing in his first few games at the club.

Meanwhile, Onana will be looking to build on his remarkable performance from last season.
