Everton fans will be encouraged by what they have seen after seeing training footage.
Everton have had a difficult start to the season, and supporters and players could be forgiven for feeling down with the international break still in effect.

Sean Dyche’s men are still without a win and have only one point after a 2-2 draw at Bramall Lane on Saturday 2 September against fellow strugglers Sheffield United, who are also without a win.

After scoring their first two goals of the season in a Carabao Cup meeting against Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday 30 August, the Toffees had to wait until the match against the Blades to collect their first Premier League goal of the season.

It is their joint-worst start to a Premier League season and the first time in the club’s history that they have lost their first three league games without scoring a goal.

With the statistics pointing to doom and gloom on Merseyside right now, supporters would have expected some players to put their heads down in training and feel sorry for themselves. This, thankfully, does not appear to be the case.

A video released to the club’s official Twitter page on September 9 shows the players playing a game in between training drills, and everyone appears to be having fun.

Laughter can be heard, and all of the players are participating, indicating that the attitude in the camp is cheerful despite their recent poor results.

While there isn’t much to go on, their performance in the week leading up to the international break shows they may be turning a corner. They would have gained confidence from these results after scoring four goals in two games and not losing each one.

Beto appears to be a welcome addition up top, and Jordan Pickford has found some form, making two big saves against the Blades to keep Everton from going into the international break with four defeats in a row, which would have been disastrous to their chances of avoiding relegation.

There are definitely indicators that Dyche is starting to turn the tide, and the training footage only adds to that.

In other Everton news, Finch Farm has released some more uplifting content ahead of their match against Arsenal.
