It’s Difficult – Wolves’ Star On Player Departure
Craig Dawson, defender for Wolverhampton Wanderers, has confessed that he understands Matheus Nunes’ choice to join Manchester City, noting that it is difficult to turn down the Premier League winners.

Nunes joined Manchester City on deadline day, only a year after joining Wolves for a club-record cost of £38 million from Sporting Lisbon.

The Portuguese midfielder was critical to the Midlands club’s survival last season, and his departure at the close of the recently closed transfer window was a shock to the team.

Dawson, on the other hand, understands Nunes’ decision to join the Cityzens, adding that it is impossible to turn down the treble winners.

He stated that switching clubs is a part of every player’s life and that Wolves must stay focused on the task at hand.

The Express & Star cited Dawson as stating, “It’s difficult.”

“It is obviously difficult to turn down any player if Manchester City comes calling.”

“We respected him as a group and were focused on the game.”
