Former Premier League star tells Nottingham Forest to ‘take heart’
Nottingham Forest have been told to take heart after a gallant performance against Liverpool in the Premier League.
Former Tottenham forward Darren Bent has praised Nottingham Forest for their gallant display against Liverpool in the Premier League.
Forest pushed the Reds to the wall before falling at Anfield following the five-goal thriller earlier on Saturday.
Mohammed Salah was the hero of the day as he scored the decisive winner to lead Liverpool to a 3-2 win over Forest.
Forest were anything but pushovers at Anfield as they delivered a performance of the season-worthy outing at Anfield.
Twice the host took the lead and twice the visitors came back to equalise during an end-to-end evening at Anfield.
However, with 20 minutes left to play, the enigmatic Salah came to Liverpool’s rescue as he netted the winner to break the hearts of Forest and their fans.
“Forest can take heart from the performance but unfortunately that’s not enough,” Bent said per the Premier League website.
“Brennan Johnson will be ruing that chance, a simple lob over the goalkeeper. A good performance but no points.”
