The injured Leicester City player is ‘back on the grass’ as his recovery progresses.
Conor Coady of Leicester City says he’s ‘feeling fine’ as he continues his comeback from a fractured foot.
Coady joined Leicester City in the summer from Wolves.
The 30-year-old was one of several high-profile additions for the Foxes this summer, with a rumored £7.5 million fee that might climb to £8.5 million.
Coady, on the other hand, has yet to make his debut for the Foxes. He suffered a fractured foot in the preseason and has been out since.
However, in a recent interview with BBC5Live (as reported by Leicestershire Live), Coady gave good news about his injuries, saying:
“I was devastated when it happened two weeks into preseason. I tried to play through it for a little while but realized there was something wrong, and I ended up having a fracture in my foot.
“I’ve never been injured before, so coming here and getting it when I did was shocking timing, to be honest, but it’s something I’m looking forward to now.” I’m back on the grass with the boys now, training, feeling good, feeling strong, and hoping to tackle the season as much as possible.”
A much-welcome comeback…
Leicester City have only allowed four goals in their first five Championship games. However, they have only maintained one clean sheet in those five games.
thus having someone with Coady’s experience and quality on the defensive line would undoubtedly help Maresca, who has done well thus far, though there is still room for development with this Leicester City team.
Coady appears to have a long way to go before making his debut for the Foxes, and Maresca is unlikely to rush him back into action.
However, Coady’s comeback will be very welcome for the Foxes, who are vying for an immediate return to the Premier League.
Leicester will travel to Southampton on Friday night.
