The 18-year-old sends a message to Wolves boss Gary O’Neil with a The absolutely clinical finish last night

Wolves continue to have goalscoring problems – but young Nathan Fraser last night sent a message to the first-team manager.

Wanderers have managed to hit just four in their first four Premier League games.

Wolves have actually created a decent amount of chances so far this season.

And James Collins’ side ran out 2-1 winners against the League Two side at Meadow Lane.

Owen Hesketh opened the scoring for the Wolves youngsters.

And then just before the hour mark, Fraser got on the scoresheet.

The 18-year-old, who made his first-team debut against Blackpool a couple of weeks ago, collected a nice ball over from Owen Farmer.

He controlled it on his chest, and unleashed an absolute rocket of a shot into the roof of the net at the near post.

Good to see from Wolves’ fourth-choice striker Nathan Fraser

Wolves were scratching around at the end of the transfer window for a new striker.

The club looked at Che Adams, and also Boulaye Dia from Salernitana.

Ultimately Wanderers could not get anyone in, and so Fraser is now Wolves fourth-choice striker for the first-team.

But with finishes like this, he is bound to catch the eye of O’Neil, who is looking for more ruthlessness in front of goal in the first-team.
