The Premier League club has confirmed a huge injury blow before of the Nottingham Forest match.
The latest Nottingham Forest news comes as Brentford are the next Premier League visitors to the City Ground following Forest’s match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Brentford have confirmed that full-back Rico Henry will miss the rest of the season due to a significant knee injury.
The 26-year-old has started every league game for the Bees this season, but was substituted in the 42nd minute of the weekend’s 1-0 loss to Newcastle United. He stumbled following a tussle with Kieran Trippier for the ball.
Brentford have now confirmed that Henry has suffered a ‘significant’ knee injury and will undergo surgery to rectify the problem before starting his rehabilitation. The news comes just over a week before Forest host Brentford at the City Ground.
Henry is Brentford’s longest-serving player, having been with the club since the summer of 2016. He played a total of 37 times in the Premier League last season, missing just one game through injury.
Ahead of the game against Brentford, Forest have the small task of a trip to the Etihad Stadium to take on Man City. While Forest have begun their preparations for the game, Man City are in Champions League action tonight (Tuesday) as they take on Crvena Zvezda at the Etihad Stadium.
