Wesley Fofana of Leicester City gives a two-word statement following Chelsea’s draw.
The defender played the entire game as Leicester City earned a draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
With the return of Wesley Fofana, Leicester City’s defense has looked much more solid, and the Frenchman turned up another strong performance in yesterday night’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
The 21-year-old hadn’t played since March after breaking his leg during City’s pre-season game against Villarreal, but he’s been a colossus in Brendan Rodgers’ defense since his comeback.
Fofana was in the center of a back three with Daniel Amartey and Jonny Evans as the Foxes stayed defensively strong and held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw in London.
Chelsea had 20 shots on goal at Stamford Bridge Friday night but couldn’t beat City.
After going seven games without a win in April, City’s undefeated streak now stands at three games.
After competing against Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, and Christian Pulisic, Fofana headed to his own Instagram page to express his thoughts on the outcome.
He captioned a photo of himself battling Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta for the ball, “Tough game.”
“Now let’s focus on the last one.”
In recent weeks, Fofana has garnered a lot of appreciation. After his performance in the 5-1 victory over Watford last Saturday, BBC’s Garth Crooks dubbed him a “star in the making,” and former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson predicted Thomas Tuchel’s team will make a bid for the centre-back.
