Tottenham were dealt a major blow with the injury to Perisic.
Spurs winger Ivan Perisic will have surgery on what is expected to be a season-ending ACL injury.

Ivan Perisic will most likely miss the rest of the season after a good performance with an assist in our late victory against Sheffield last Saturday.
The 34-year-old, who made his 50th appearance for the club in Sheffield, suffered the injury during non-contact training this week.
Ange must now reflect in order to compensate for the loss.

Manor Solomon, as we’ve seen, can play on the left wing when Sonny isn’t available, and the acquisition of Brennan Johnson will make managing the front three much simpler.

Ange has additional, less appealing choices in wingers Ryan Sessesgnon and Bryan Gil. Those two, on the other hand, are still healing from injuries and are unlikely to get playing time anytime soon.

Last season, Perisic had eight assists in the league, and his comfort and poise on the ball have always made him a valuable contributor. Unfortunately for both the player and the organization, he is approaching the age where it may be in both sides’ best interests for him to leave at the conclusion of the season.Ivan Perisic: Blow for Tottenham as Croatian star set to miss rest of season with ACL injury - Eurosport

The Croatian international should be fully recovered before the end of the season, when his contract will expire.

Perisic was rumored to be interested in returning to his native country to play for Hajduk Split by Sky Sports writer Gianluca Di Marzio in July.

A free move elsewhere next summer appears to be more plausible than ever.
