EXCLUSIVE
Police have accused Bristol Rovers striker Junior Agogo of attempted rape.
The accusation is believed to be related to an incident that occurred on May 7, this year in Doncaster.

The 25-year-old vehemently denies the charges and has the full support of his club.

Agogo played in Rovers’ FA Cup clash against Carlisle on Saturday, but did not score in the 1-1 draw, and his agent Saif Rubie told skysports.com that the player is determined not to let the claims bother him.

“Junior refutes all of the allegations made against him,” Rubie said to skysports.com.

“However, because of the seriousness of the allegations, we have instructed lawyers to handle the case appropriately.”

“Junior has the full backing of Bristol Rovers football club and will try to repay that faith by maintaining his good form this season.”

“It has come at the worst possible time for Junior, but people in his position are vulnerable to such allegations because of their status.”Junior Agogo: Former Ghana international dies at age 40 | Goal.com Nigeria
