BREAKING: USC Trojans surprisingly fire coach after loss to Washington; College Football Fans React According to multiple reports, the USC Trojans announced on Sunday that they would part ways with a coach following a disappointing loss to the Washington Huskies on Saturday night.
USC enters the 2023 season with hopes of making the playoffs.
The offense, led by Heisman-winning quarterback Caleb Williams, did enough to give the Trojans a chance.
But this does not happen with the defense.


According to ESPN, USC head coach Lincoln Riley announced the firing of defensive coordinator Alex Grich on Sunday.
The Grinch has been Riley’s defensive coordinator since the 2019 season, when they were with the Oklahoma Sooners.
The Grinch joins USC when Riley takes over as head coach in 2022.

USC’s defense is said to have improved from last season.
But they have difficulty in big matches.

The Trojans have allowed 48, 34 and 52 losses to Notre Dame, Utah and Washington this year – the Trojans rank 119th in total defense this season.
