March Madness expert projects Nebraska as nine seed

The men’s basketball team from Nebraska, the Cornhuskers, is attempting to make its first NCAA Tournament trip since the 2013–14 campaign, and only its second since the year 2000.

With a record of 19-8 overall and 9-7 in Big Ten play, the Huskers are in a good position to advance. According to one March Madness guru, the Huskers will be a 9 seed in March.

According to Andy Katz’s most recent estimates, the Huskers will take on the Colorado State Rams as the No. 9 seed in the South Region in the opening round. The Huskers’ first round opponent would be in Memphis, Tennessee, if they were to finish as the South Region’s No. 9 seed.

While the Huskers can practically smell the tournament, they’ll first need to take care of business throughout the rest of the regular season. They have remaining matchups against Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers and Michigan.
