Matt Rhule Has High Expectations for Nebraska’s Young Quarterbacks
Coach and players speak after the Huskers’ third football practice of spring
Following practice on Thursday morning, the third session of 2024 spring exercises, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule talked about his expectations for the team’s young quarterbacks as well as other topics.
Heinrich Haarberg, the starting pitcher, is back at Nebraska, but two highly anticipated freshmen who signed over the winter, Dylan Raiola and Danny Kaelin, are playing spring ball.
“I’m expecting them both to be ready to start,” Rhule said of the two freshmen. “We have three quarterbacks on scholarship. I need three quarterbacks who can start. So, high expectations.”
Several players also spoke during the post-practice press conference. Below are links to what was said, as well as reporters’ observations from an early portion of practice that was open to the media. Asterisk indicates item may require a subscription.
