Only four programs have at least three commitments in their class, and South Carolina football is among the top five nationally for recruiting in the 2026 cycle. America’s top-100 prospects include 4-star quarterback Landon Duckworth and 4-star linebacker Rodney Colton, Jr. Additionally, offensive lineman Anthony Baxter is a player whose high rating will likely be exceeded.

A number of other ’26 recruits have expressed positive opinions on the South Carolina football program in the past month. Most recently, the Gamecocks were listed as one of his top schools by an interesting Pennsylvania tight end prospect.

At this stage of his recruitment, athletic pass-catcher Carter Bashir named his top seven colleges as the Charlotte 49ers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Miami Hurricanes, Syracuse Orange, Virginia Tech Hokies, Boston College Eagles, and Duke Blue Devils.
