Nottingham Forest v Leeds United team news as the two teams meet at the Pirelli Stadium for their latest pre-season friendly
Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper has had to make a late change to the starting XI in their friendly with Leeds United at Burton Albion tonight – Scott McKenna has pulled out of the line-up after feeling unwell in the warm-up and he has been replaced by Remo Freuler.
Cooper is expected to utilise all of his squad at the Pirelli Stadium to take on the newly relegated Whites, although he is still without a host of players who would otherwise be available to him – and who he’ll expect to have before the big Premier League kick off a little over a couple of weeks from now.
There is no Morgan Gibbs-White, Brennan Johnson, Felipe, new signing Ola Aina, Giulian Biancone or Omar Richards in Burton tonight, while Jonjo Shelvey, Harry Arter and Steve Cook played for the under 21s on Wednesday night.
Still, Cooper will have 22 – or, without McKenna, 21 – players to take a look at over the course of this evening. Remo Freuler, originally named among the subs, comes into the XI for the ill McKenna. New signing Anthony Elanga is among those named on the bench.
