Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will be hoping his side show improvement when they host Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils will be looking to dominate the game against Forest after disappointing showings in each of their first two games.
Raphael Varane’s header secured a 1-0 victory over Wolves on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, despite their opponents dominating for much of the game.
However, the Red Devils were comfortably beaten by Tottenham Hotspur last time out, with the Lilywhites running out 2-0 winners on Saturday.
Having struggled in front of goal so far this season, United supporters will be hoping that new signing Rasmus Hojlund can hit the ground running when he returns to fitness following his move from Atalanta.
In the meantime, it appears that the club are hoping to bring in a new wing-back.
According to Football Insider, Manchester United have made an enquiry for Wolves’ Nelson Semedo.
The report claims that Semedo fits the criteria of wing-back that United are looking for, and they have therefore made a move to assess whether or not he could be available.
Semedo, 29, has made 106 appearances for Wolves in all competitions since signing from Barcelona in 2020.
The Portuguese international spent three years at the Catalonian giants before making a switch to the Wanderers for around £25m.
He is comfortable operating as a right-sided right-back or wing-back, which could make him a desirable option for the Manchester outfit.
During his time in the West Midlands, Semedo has so far bagged two goals and notched up four assists.
The right-back is contracted to Wolves until 2025, but the club may be forced into selling the player.
It is believed that the Wanderers are willing to sell the Portuguese international in order to ensure that they meet Financial Fair Play regulations.
