Lampard’s touching message
In the aftermath of his resignation as manager, Frank Lampard has sent a poignant letter to Everton fans.
“Coming into Everton last year, I knew we were in a tough moment, and I will always be proud of the incredible work and support from everyone involved in keeping the team in the Premier League last season,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the club coming together. I’ll never forget the wonderful night we had versus Palace. I’d want to thank everyone at Everton for the warm welcome you provided to myself, my employees, and my family.
“It truly is a special club with a huge heart and an incredible history.” I’m unhappy that we couldn’t achieve more together and wish all of the players and everyone at Everton FC the best of luck in the future.”
