‘HE’S STILL VERY GOOD,’ SAYS BBC PUNDIT OF £12M STAR WHO MAY NEVER PLAY FOR TOTTENHAM AGAIN.

Hugo Lloris’ career at Tottenham Hotspur appears to be coming to an end, according to Mark Schwarzer.

It could be the goalkeepers’ union, but Schwarzer, who made 514 Premier League games, revealed that he is a ‘huge supporter’ of Tottenham’s dethroned number one on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.

Many anticipated Hugo Lloris to leave this summer, but he stayed there after a number of offers were knocked down or simply did not go through.

This is despite Spurs being open to losing their £12 million signing from 2012 (BBC Sport) and the player himself being willing to leave.

There was even rumors of a possible move to Newcastle United late on transfer deadline day, but nothing came of it, and Lloris is still at Tottenham as Ange Postecoglou’s third-choice keeper.

Summer commitment Guglielmo Vicario is the main goalkeeper – he has been warned – with Fraser Forster playing in the recent EFL Cup defeat to Fulham, while Schwarzer offered his thoughts on Lloris.

“I am a huge Hugo Lloris fan,” Schwarzer stated. “I know he hasn’t had a great time at Spurs the last couple of seasons; he’s made high-profile mistakes and been injured.”

“I think he is still a very good goalkeeper.”
