According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, Everton defender Seamus Coleman appears to be on track to return to first-team action towards the end of October.

He could be back to light training soon, according to the injury expert, if he hasn’t already been out for several months.

The 34-year-old Republic of Ireland international last appeared for Everton against Leicester City in May, when he was stretchered off the field.

“Coleman is recovering from a knee ligament injury, and the only thing I’ve heard from the club is that it’s not an ACL injury.”

“At this point, he’s most likely returned to and/or been involved in sports-specific movements, progressing to the point where he can potentially return to light training.”

“Given his comments in August, there’s a good chance he’ll be back in October.”

Coleman was the Toffees’ first-choice right-back until his injury setback, despite his age.

Nathan Patterson has been Sean Dyche’s go-to choice there this season, but James Garner and Ben Godfrey have also been used there in recent months.
