Spurs have announced that another center-back has departed the club on a permanent basis.
Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer activity is far from complete, as the club has confirmed the departure of Maksim Paskotsi. The teenager has already signed a permanent contract with Grasshopper Club Zurich.
Paskotsi joined Tottenham’s youth system in 2020 after playing for FC Flora Tallinn in his native Estonia. He has previously trained with both the Kalev and SK Everest youth teams.
The defender has only played three minutes for the Tottenham Hotspur senior team (Transfermarkt). Paskotsi was a regular for Spurs’ development squad and U18 side, but he never made it into the first-team squad.
While he may not have made it at club level, Paskotsi has 18 caps for Estonia, having made his debut at the age of 18 (Transfermarkt).
Paskotsi has signed a permanent contract with Spurs.
Paskotsi will now have the opportunity to play regular football after it was confirmed that the 20-year-old will leave Spurs to join Grasshopper Club Zurich in Switzerland.
The announcement wishes Paskotsi the best of luck in the future and explains the player’s previous association with the club. There is no information on whether or whether the switch was paid for.
Paskotsi was likely behind both new signings Ashley Phillips and Alfie Dorrington in the Spurs first team road under Ange Postecoglou.
