Leeds United attacker Mateo Joseph ready to play v Millwall despite being in crutches recently – Injury Expert

According to the injury expert, the 19-year-old suffered a Grade 2 ankle inversion, which kept him out of the game.

Leeds: Mateo Joseph can fix Rodrigo injury

Daniel Farke claimed that he has used crutches and has been fitted with a protective boot to aid with his recovery.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Joseph: “He suffered a grade 2 inversion sprain injury.

His time on crutches depended on how he was responding to physio and he was likely put him into a CAM boot and then gradually into a shoe again.

Training will have been a gradual increase in intensity and with ankle injuries, the key is often tolerating side-to-side movements effectively.

“He now seems ready to play for the Whites post the international break.”

Joseph has not played a single minute for Leeds this season but returned to the bench for the 0-0 draw against Sheffield Wednesday.

He was not loaned out by the Whites this summer so there is a chance that he will feature for the first team in the coming weeks.

It remains to be seen what Farke views as his ideal position and with the Whites out of the Carabao Cup, he can’t even give him the odd start in the cup games.

In other Leeds United news, an Injury Expert has revealed a silver lining emerges as a Leeds player will be ruled out until October amid a recent revelation.

The match was called off after a young Leeds United player made an unusual debut for a new club.
A Leeds United teenager made his debut for his new club, but the game was called off.
Midfielder Jack Jenkins joined Scunthorpe United on a season-long loan earlier this week, and the 21-year-old made his Irons debut as a second-half replacement against Buxton on Saturday.

The game’s referee appeared to blow for full-time early in second half stoppage time with Buxton leading 2-1, however both Buxton and Scunthorpe have since admitted that the game was actually abandoned.

A Tweet from Scunthorpe United read: “We have been informed that the referee has abandoned the game, rather than blown the full-time whistle. As soon as we have further information, we will let you know.”
