‘Not an easy goodbye,’ says Tyler Adams, as the USMNT player offers a great farewell message to Leeds fans following his move to Bournemouth.
Tyler Adams confesses he left Leeds with relegation regrets, with the USMNT player headed to Bournemouth in what he describes as a “tough goodbye.”

The midfielder spent one season at Elland Road but was injured as the Whites fell out of the Premier League and moved on to the Cherries.

The US international midfielder has moved from Elland Road to the Vitality Stadium for a fee of £23 million ($29 million). The Cherries have activated a clause in his contract that went into effect once Leeds were relegated from the Premier League. Adams was only in West Yorkshire for a year, and his solitary campaign was cut short by a hamstring injury in March.

After parting ways with Leeds, Adams stated on social media, “Not an easy goodbye.” Since day one, the club, my teammates, and the supporters have been there for me, and I wish I could have provided more in the final stretch. “I will be eternally grateful for the past year.”

Adams made 26 appearances for Leeds after coming from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in 2022, but was unable to score for the club and sat out a number of crucial games during their end-of-season run-in, which ultimately ended in a drop into the Championship.
Adams, who led his country at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar, is working his way back to full match fitness and will be looking to make a more memorable contribution to Bournemouth’s cause once he is ready.
