Destiny Udogie escaped unhurt after crashing into a bar terrace – causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.
The Tottenham defender – on loan at Serie A side Udinese – smashed his Mercedes into a bar in Udine, Italy, in the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to Il Messaggero Veneto, the accident caused an estimated €3,000 [£2,600] worth of damage, with the 20-year-old destroying tables, chairs and unbrellas.
Thankfully, no people were injured in the incident, with the bar owner comparing the scene to a ‘bomb’ going off.
Speaking to the news outlet, the owner said: “A car hit the bar. It seems that a bomb went off.
“There were 12 chairs, three tables, two umbrellas, five large plant holders, and approximately ten plants destroyed.” Only one person was saved.
“One of the parasols even ended up underneath a parked car, which was also hit by the out-of-control vehicle.”
It has also been reported that Udogie, who joined Spurs last summer before being loaned out to Udinese, had a breathalyzer test, the results of which have yet to be disclosed.
Udinese have commented on the car crash, where they revealed they will be fining Udogie after he lost control of his vehicle.
A press release from the club read: “Regarding the news of the road accident which, last night, involved Destiny Udogie driving his car.
“Udinese Calcio informs that the footballer has not suffered any consequences and has regularly trained with the team.
“Udogie, moreover, as established by the internal regulation, will be sanctioned to the extent provided by the same.”
The Italy Under-21 international is expected to compete for a starting spot in north London when he returns to Spurs next season.
In 26 appearances for Udinese this campaign, the left-back has chipped in with three goals and as many assists in all competitions.
