LA Galaxy Mutually Agree to Part Ways with Goalkeeper Jonathan Bond

LOS ANGELES (22 February 2024, Thursday): The LA Galaxy declared today that they and goalie Jonathan Bond have mutually decided to part ways.

LA Galaxy General Manager Will Kuntz remarked, “We would like to thank Jonathan for his commitment and contribution to the Galaxy during his time here in Los Angeles.” “We’re hoping for the best for Bondy and his family in their upcoming chapter.”

Bond spent three seasons (2021–2023) as a member of the LA Galaxy, appearing in 93 games (93 starts) in all competitions. Bond, the 2022 Defender of the Year for the LA Galaxy, is second only to Kevin Hartman (243) in club history with 90 regular-season goalie appearances.

“Representing this outstanding club for three years has been an honor and a privilege,” Bond remarked. “I want to express my gratitude to my coaches, teammates, and supporters for accepting me as one of their own. I would especially like to thank Greg and Will for this wonderful opportunity, and I hope the club’s season is successful for everyone.
